A lot of people seem to think that fish are really easy things to look after, not if you keep the big ones. The aquarium supplies are not easy to take care of and when people go on holiday it would seem that they struggle to find something to do with the pets. When taking care of fish when you are away on something like a vacation what on earth are you to do?
Family
Getting someone from the family to come in to take care of the tropical fish tank is most likely the best idea to take on because it is someone you trust and you can go through the various instructions with them. Although it is not too hard to feed fish it can be a bit tricky when it comes to reptile pet supplies as feeding these creatures could involved pulling legs off crickets and all kinds of other things.
Cleaning The Tank
One of the things you need to do before you go away is clean the tank out, you do not want to leave this to the person in charge. As a fish owner you will know just how important it is to actually clean out the tank properly and someone else coming into the house is likely to get something wrong. If a tropical tank and someone gets it wrong then it is going to result in deaths there is no doubt about that. Cleaning out the take is an essential thing to do before you get away.
Any Other Things?
If you do not have a friend or a family member that can take care of the fish for you then what do you do, not go on holiday? Of course not, there are services available that can do these kinds of things or perhaps you could pay a friendly neighbour to do it?
