Mistakes You Can Make With A New Fish Tank
a lot of people seem to have the thought that getting out there and buying an aquarium for the first time is simple. When they then learn that it isn't easy at all, it can be hard on them so here are a few mistakes to avoid when it comes to starting up a brand new aquarium.
Adding Fish Straight Away
Many people rush out to buy a tank and don't really tend to realise that you are supposed to leave the water in it for a good couple of days before you even think about putting the fish in there. sometimes you can get lucky with this and no fish will die but nine times out of ten you will find that all of them will get ill and die which is a waste of money and lives. This is because the water in the new marine aquarium has not quite settled down yet and will still contain some of the things fish are not used to. Don't forget water treatment companies add all kinds of things; it would be like having a pond without a pond filter!
A Small Tank
for a new person that is new to the hobby it would seem that a tank sounds like something that is logical, this is one of the worst mistakes to actually make. This is because the water volume is too small and this means that water parameters change very quickly indeed which means if you make any errors the fish are going to die. With a larger tank an error should not make too big of an impact on things. Although bigger tanks are going to need much more aquarium plants it would seem it is worth it to keep the fish alive.
All in all there are many mistakes you can make from this but you will learn from them so making them isn't always a bad thing!
